  Why I never will never fully love or understand Jehovah

  it's kind of hard to love and trust someone who will off thousands of persons merely because they bitched becaused they were bored of bread...and that's just for starters.. .

  i tried to rationalize it as jw saying, "well, we are jehovah's possessions, he created us and, by killing us, he is just reclaiming what is his.".

  that is not a very firm foundation for true love.

  Beryl, I find fault lies with the authors of the bible as God's word....they've attributed many things to God that are highly unlikely and some obviously blatant lies, even by their own admission....

  For example, consider the killing events surrounding the writing of the commandments in stone on Mt. Sinai....In Moses OWN words, he alleges that *GOD* was angry and wanted to slay the Isrealites for worshipping a carved image, but that he, Moses, reasoned with God and talked God out of his anger....THEN Moses says he, himself, proceeded to come down from the mountain (after allegedly having talked God out of being angry and killing the Isrealites) and *MOSES* then became angry with the Isrealites and orders them killed anyway, saying all the while that *GOD* ordered them to be slain......go figure

  God is not accurately to be found in a book.

  I Have Returned

  finished my trip to interview the guys that came back from the war...some of the interviews were pretty intense.

  most of these guys came back in mid july so most of their comments about what's going on in iraq are dated...but, they said as a whole the iraqis were glad we took out saddam.. .

  i met and interviewed a chaplain assistant with three confirmed kills...makes me take my job a bit more seriously.. say "welcome home"

  My alltime fav is "Sherlock Holmes Smarter Brother"...starring Gene Wilder, Madeline Kahn, Marty Feldman, etc....
  
  

  Favorite scene in movie: Gene Wilder (playing Holmes's Smarter Bro) and Marty Feldman (Holmes's bro's asst.) are "scoping out" a suspect's house during a formal party and wind up in a long narrow closet, in which both must press themselves against a wall as a giant circular saw moves slowly past them....next we see them both in a large ballroom....they are standing on the sidelines in formal dress and soon everyone in the ballroom begins giving them strange gaping looks and the orchestra leader even smiles and winks at them.....as they're wondering what's going on, Gene Wilder glances over his shoulder and seeing both their backsides are bared (from the circular saw) in a large wall mirror, he nudges Marty Feldman, they both slap a hand on each other's bare cheek and suddenly begin madly dancing around the room and out the door, making their exit....

  a great lady, jan groenveld...she contributed so much to all she came in contact with online and off, i'm sure.....today i was reminded of her surprisingly delightful sense of humor.....she belonged to a lot of online support xdub groups.....someone in the group i belonged to in 2001 posted a funny about bra types, which, of course, prompted moi to write my own query about bazonker types.....yall might enjoy this...fb .

  I had the pleasure of meeting her a couple of years ago. She was a caring, funny and simply amazing in her dedication in helping those trapped by cults.

  does anyone perceive if there is a proclivity toward a certain engine if one is, say, computer savvy?

  Confused, the man asked what were the types.

  The saleslady replied "The Catholic type, the Salvation Army type, the Presbyterian type, and the Baptist type. Which one do you need?"

  Still confused the man asked, "What is the difference between them?"

  SO NATURALLY I HAD TO ASK....
